• The Friend Suggestion tool. (hope you know that Orkut also added this :) )
• The Friends box. (The box showing all of your friends)
• The commenting System which Orkut was lacking before.
• Status updating system.
• Chat application. (or Google chat/Voice) . What? Yes orkut has this feature too buddy. Don't be amazed. :) 

5 Things Google should have done to Save Orkut!

• Rather than coming up with Google Buzz, Google should have worked upon Orkut only.
• Google should have integrated Orkut inside Gmail also with the integration of Google chat inside Orkut.
• Google should not have removed its unique features like Feeds[...] rather than copying features from Facebook :) .
• Google should have emphasized more on Communities which could have changed the future of Orkut.
• Google should have attracted business owners by providing Business Communities To them.
• Can't do anything as everything comes to an end. So orkut will too!
